I realised that I didn’t know a lot about my culture on my father’s side. He comes from the ‘Edo’ or ‘Bini’ tribe in Nigeria. I can’t speak his language, I don’t know many customs and so I feel overall disconnected from that part of my heritage. Because of this, I decided to make a publication that explores some parts of the Edo culture as a way to reconnect with my heritage and create a simple way to teach others about peoples not many know about.
